Kehuttua - I realize it is near the end of the season, plus there has been a few days of. Heavy rain, but it now seems that the placements for camping cars are secondary to cabins.The staff were excellent, but it would seem that little or no care is taken to ensure that Campimg Car sites are clean , in short it was mostly a muddy mess throughout.
The drains in One of the sanitaires were all totally blocked & toilets had overflowed as result.I as a flower caning member, would not revisit this site for all the reasons aforementioned

Kehuttua - A great site for getting into Saumur easily. Very well laid out pitches, brilliant swimming pool with a lovely view of the Chateau across the river. Enjoyed the bar, didn’t eat there so can’t comment but I would think it’s good.

Do not even consider staying here. Shower block near our pitch was closed so had to walk to the top end of the site for showers & toilets which were filthy. Facilities for filing up with fresh water for motorhome were inadequate. Pitch was just soil & no grass which turned into mud following a thunderstorm. Pitches were close together with very little privacy. Very noisy at night which I wouldn’t expect on a French site, which is usually quiet after 10pm. Booked & paid for 3 nights but left after only 1 night & was refused a refund. The worst site we have ever stayed on. Definitely not a 4* site

we stayed on the campsite at the very end of the season however we loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful, it is a well laid out site with good sized grass pitches. we had tall hedges either side of our pitch so very private. facilities are good and kept very clean. There is a public path around the outside of the campsite on the river bank which was good for walking the dog. we have no children but with the pool, play area and fencing all around the campsite it would be good and safe for children. Great location for Saumur town centre and several supermarkets within 1-2 miles.

We stayed here just outside of ACSI unfortunately. But as it is a 5 star site we thought we would treat ourselves for a couple of nights. I had had bad news from home so we were on our way back to the UK.

The pool is fantastic, one of the best I’ve come across, and the location is excellent. BUT the showers and toilets had long-standing dirt and cobwebs, it was horrible. Dead flies everywhere. And no sockets for a hairdryer. We have travelled for nearly 2 months and these shower blocks were one of the dirtiest.

Our visit initially started with a nightmare. Phoned up on the morning of our arrival to check they had pitches available, which they said they did, and we were told we could arrive just before 12. When we got there we were told that the campsite was full and we could come back at 1.30pm to check if any pitches had become available.

By 1.30pm there was a queue of motorhomes and caravans waiting to get in. We luckily managed to get a pitch but when we got to it it was so poor, the pitch had tree roots growing in the middle and was completely uneven - not fit for purpose at all. After two hikes up to reception and waiting behind the queues of people still waiting to get in, we managed to get a decent pitch.

Overall it’s a lovely campsite with a beautiful heated pool which overlooks the chateau. It’s right on the river banks and an easy walk down the river and over the bridge to Saumur.

Lovely bar and restaurant area which was open all day - the food wasn’t amazing but okay for a campsite restaurant. Would highly recommend the wine though!

This was a last minute break and I called the previous evening. I booked a pitch for a motorhome for 2 adults and 1 dog. I was NOT told I would need my pet passport and as we live in France I did not have it with me. When we arrived I was told we could not stay without the pet passport!! I asked why I wasn\'t told I needed it when I booked. No reply! Eventually we were allowed to stay but only when the reception staff had spoken to my vet. I was disgusted with this attitude to be honest. I was then told that if I wanted to take my car onto the pitch, if it wasn\'t on a trailer, I had to go to the pitch with my car, unload the luggage then return to reception to park it, then the motorhome barrier pass would work. I was not happy about leaving my belongings on the pitch while I fetched the motor home. I was not given the option of paying for an additional car until I asked. However, the site was very good and well presented. Very clean and , other than the toilet rolls which were always unusable (being of the type with paper coming out of a hole in the centre of the cover ) everything was excellent. I do hope that the reception staff receive some training in future. Especially the young man who had told me we could not stay without the pet passport.
