Kehuttua - In my opinion this is the best camp site in France. A selection of sunny or shaded pitches in sizes to suit every outfit, be it a tent or caravan with water, electric and drainage to every pitch. The facilities are spotless and the pitches are regularly cut. A beautiful good size swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and a stunning view. A bar and restaurant. It also seems to attract a very friendly set of visitors, adding to the overall enjoyment. Kehuttua - The hosts are brilliant down to earth people who are welcoming and knowledgeable about both their site and the region. We had a hire car pitch which was excellent and certainly a useful if not almost a required addition if you want to explore and don’t have a car with you due to the narrow roads for bigger rigs.
Moitittua - We were lucky to move our pitch to a better located one for satellite and mobile reception which if you want to have both or either can be difficult on this site. 10 yrs ago this would not have been an issue, sadly nowadays we are all used to being connected and this is the only downside to this location. However it is more than made up for by the wildlife and hosts Stuart and Shiela who both go above and beyond the call of duty.

Kehuttua - Beautiful and tranquil. The ultimate place for a complete rest and unwind. Stuart and Shelia work tirelessly to ensure all the visitors are happy, and the grounds/pitches are maintained to their very high standard. All in all, can be summed up in one word - Paradise.

Kehuttua - We stay there for one week. The warm and friendly hospitality was a plaesure. The rental car eas great for the small streets in this area. The impressiest was the daily dinner, perfect created by Sheila and served by Stuart.

We stayed at this so called Country Club in June of this year.

To be kind the park could be called rustic, it lacks substantial investment and could be described as having faded grandeur.
The toilet block is basic and the showers are cold in the morning. There is little room to put your clothes or shoes, there is no dry area on the floor in the cubicle as all the floor gets wet.
The pool is a welcome asset, even though it was drained for a few days during our stay to allow for urgent repairs. This again needs substantial upgrading. The first time we used it the water was filthy.

Many of the pitches are sloping and during very wet weather the ground gave way under the weight of a caravan or motorhome. Our neighbours had to re site their caravan twice.

There was supposed to be a restaurant but it was made clear when we arrived it was plait de jour and needed to be ordered the day before. No surprise we didn’t make use of it.

A couple arrived in a motorhome and paid for their stay. After looking around they decided they didn’t want to stay, but a refund was refused, even though there is no written ‘no refunds’ policy

The owner is all sweetness and light when he’s taking your hard earned cash, but is all too fond of calling people behind their back, unfortunately he does not recognise his own shortcomings.

We understand this holiday park has been up for sale for a few years and bookings are down, so there is an explanation of the situation.

Kehuttua - Warm welcome and informative brief on highlights of the area.. Excellent terrace and pool area, quality of menu and service in restaurant. Expansive size of pitches and #39 perfectly flat for our demountable camper. Quiet and child free environment made the tranquillity even more enjoyable.
Moitittua - Variable on-site WiFi (only on terrace) made communication difficult and trying.. Excess of regulatory notices.

Kehuttua - Great pitch, great pizza and for me, great steak. Pool was very welcome if a little tired. Big fan of the “no outdoors shoes in shower room” policy
Moitittua - Whilst I was ambivalent, I am aware my friend was not a huge fan of Stuart’s brand of humour (I will let him explain…)
