Der AZUR Campingpark Regensburg befindet sich direkt an der Donau, nur wenige Kilometer vom historischen Zentrum Regensburgs entfernt. Hier campt man im Grünen und ist trotzdem schnell mit dem Fahrrad in der Stadt. Die Anlage ist überschaubar, gepflegt und in kleine, von Bäumen umrahmte Bereiche gegliedert. Durch die Lage in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel geht es entspannt zu, und dank der guten Beschilderung ist der Platz von der A93 aus leicht zu finden.
Die Stellplätze verteilen sich über ein baumbestandenes Gelände und variieren in Größe und Zuschnitt. Da es kaum Parzellierung gibt, wirkt der Platz offen und großzügig. Zelte, Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile sind willkommen. Wer ohne eigenes Campingfahrzeug reist, kann in einem der hölzernen Campingfässer oder in einer Bikelodge auf Stelzen übernachten – ideal für Radreisende oder Kurzaufenthalte. Die Atmosphäre ist international und locker: Viele Gäste bleiben nur ein paar Nächte, um Regensburg zu erkunden.
Der Campingpark ist schlicht ausgestattet, aber sauber und gut organisiert. Das Restaurant auf dem Gelände ist beliebt – nicht nur bei Campern, sondern auch bei Anwohnern. Ein Supermarkt liegt etwa anderthalb Kilometer entfernt. Für eine Abkühlung genügt ein kurzer Spaziergang durch das Gartentor: Direkt an der Donau gibt es eine Badestelle. Alternativ lädt das nahegelegene Westbad mit Schwimmbecken und Sauna zum Entspannen ein. Kinder finden im angrenzenden Donaupark genug Platz zum Spielen, Toben und Sporttreiben – vom Wasserspielplatz bis zur Skate- und Fußballfläche.
Mit dem Fahrrad ist man in etwa 15 Minuten mitten in der Altstadt von Regensburg. Die UNESCO-Welterbestadt begeistert mit engen Gassen, gotischem Dom, Steinerner Brücke und vielen kleinen Cafés. Wer lieber in der Natur unterwegs ist, kann direkt vom Platz auf den Donau-Radweg starten – und der Fluss begleitet einen noch viele Kilometer weiter.
